Joshua Dov

Joshua Dov, M.A., is the Founding Director and teacher of The Children’s Art Studio. Josh has been involved in a progressive approach to children’s art education throughout his experience of studying, creating and administering art programs for children.

Josh holds a B.A. from the University of California at Santa Cruz, where he received the Irwin Scholarship for excellence in Fine Arts, and an M.A. in Art Education from the University of New Mexico. In Albuquerque, he successfully created and ran his own art school, The Children’s Art Center, was the art specialist at Escuela Del Sol Montessori, and the Art Educator at Temple Albert. As a graduate student in Fine Arts at the University of Pennsylvania, Josh taught Drawing and Painting classes to children at the Manayunk Art Center in Philadelphia.

Josh is a practicing artist who brings his love for children and for creative expression into his studio curriculum and classes.

Amy Goodman Dov

Amy Goodman Dov, Master Printer is the co-founder and teacher of The Children’s Art Studio.  Amy has been involved in living, loving and teaching children of different ages for a lifetime.  Working in a variety of capacities and settings, Amy has volunteered, taught in schools and has been involved in a Buddy Community Support Program.

Amy holds a B.A. from the University of California at Santa Cruz where she also received a post-baccalaureate certificate for one year of graduate studies.  In addition Amy attended the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Fine Art in Painting and Printmaking.  Following her studies at Penn, Amy was honored by her acceptance to Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Tamarind holds a world-wide reputation as one of the rare lithography art institutions devoted to collaborative Lithography.  In her two-year program at Tamarind, Amy collaborated with many outstanding national and international artists, and received the title of Master Printer.

As a practicing artist, Amy works in oils and water colors producing many images that reflect her love of nature.

Joshua Dov and Amy Goodman are husband and wife and the proud parents of two sons.
